I finally got to put the new boat in the water - awesome. We ran to Orange Beach, AL from Mississippi - about 65 miles, and back. It was a great day. Nice to be back on the water from winter.

In your area often... if you have any issues with the trailer, give me a call.

I posted on your question about tie down straps.

Great looking boat! Is it I.T.S.? Like the bib (#4) for the drooling new throttleman!

Thanks!!

She's got 525's with XZ drives and ITS, spinning 32" labbed props. She ran great. We cruised all afternoon at 3500 rpm and 50mph, and topped out at 83mph. As usual for Formula the ride and handling were awesome. Looking forward to summer and a few poker runs.

Great looking ride you must be pumped. Have a safe fun summer :D:D

I know the Stellings are a little faster than the ITS, but Robert Nelems had the boat on the ground and took really good care of us. The boat was used by the Porter family as their lake boat last summer. Its an 04 model, but must have been built mid 03. I got curious about the drives too. I called both Mercury and Formula and they are XZ's. There must have still been some in inventory at that point. At least I'm not soaking up the extra 20hp I hear it takes to turn the XR's.

BTW Troutly, I checked out the pics of your 382 - thats an incredible boat. I like the storm graphics as much as the light speed, and I REALLY wish that Forumla would put the stainless windshield frame on the 353. What kinda power does it have under the hood??

CBlakeNS 03-22-2004 07:40 PM

Very nice boat there, looks good.

Great lookin - A real HEAD TURNNER !!!!

My wife and I was in Orange Beach this past week end - just Beachin' - no Boatin', but will have to hook up with you on one of my next trips down. I have a place on the back bay with Dock, looking straight out the cut.

Big Dog

We'd love to catch up with you - always looking for someone to run around with. We're doing a little re-modeling to our place in Orange Beach so I don't know when I'll be back, but in the next 4 - 6 weeks I'll be there most weekends.

Thanks - at least I won't be hard to spot running around.

Donzilla - I only had it up wide open once, and then only for a minute - I was having so much fun I forgot to check the details so I don't really remember what the tachs read. Next time I have her out I'll pay better attention.

Thanks, and good luck with your new one - its an awesome ride.

Bill272 03-24-2004 07:39 PM

Mullet Toss

Ya know, every year it seems my schedule messes me up for the fun stuff. So to answer the question, no.

This year I am determined to hit the fun events - including the poker run. But if a customer has a need - that will always come first.
