Single or Twins?

OK, I am starting to plan what I will be doing with the 255 Liberator. Should I keep the currrent single configuration, or should I replace the transom with dual I/O. I know the later will be quite a bit more expensive, but would it be worth the effort in the long run?

Stay single. It will be to much work to put that thing together with twins, plus the boat is really to small for twins, even small blocks. You will not gain much in the speed department with twins and the boat will weigh a LOT more.

I'd have to agree with audiofn, stay single too much $$$ and lots of structural glas work would have to be done.

here's one on ebay: item#2477867035

I did consider doing the same thing to my 211 Liberator BUT I was going to remove my 540 and bracket mount two big outboards. Then make the engine hatch half the size , add another gas tank and move the rear seat back to attain a bigger cockpit and twin reliability:D
Talked Mama into a bigger boat instead;)
