Re: Side panel in the windsheild cracked...
Ive contacted like almost everywhere that you guys have mentioned and done everything you have said and no one has the pattern to do it anymore...
What should I do? |
Re: Side panel in the windsheild cracked...
It's very difficult to believe Taylor Made doesn't have the pattern anymore! Sounds like you need to climb the laddder at both Taylor Made and Formula. Ask them if they could make it if you supplied a pattern. You might also want to check with a custom/specialty glass shop to see if they could make a piece from a template to match the thickness and tempering of the original.
Just for grins, try talking to Dave Gerber at Monroeville Marine @ 419-465-2558 and Robert Nelems (Magicfloat) on this board. They are both Formula dealers. |
Re: Side panel in the windsheild cracked...
Magic Float I already pmed he told me to contact a auto glass supply place, I think my dad is going to....
Ill try calling the other guy up also. |
Re: Side panel in the windsheild cracked...
well, turns out the pair of glass that was sent (from water bonnet, sounds familiar, now that it was mentioned) was a side front and side rear piece. i replaced the side rear piece and have the side front. it is basically a trapezoid (but not perfectly symetric) it measures 33.5" x 11.5" basically, with edges 45' ed. one edge is 1/2" longer than the other for each dimension. let me know if this will possibly fit.
have not found a receipt yet with phone number, but try this http://www.marineglassspecialties.com/MainFrame.htm Rambunctious |
