I was just searching the net and stumbled across this.

I am definitely curious as to how well the hull handles those kinds of speeds.

I sure would think those drives would be a ticking bomb with that power :crazy:

That's Mooresville (a.k.a. NASCAR Mecca & Lake Norman) I bet it was previously owned by someone in the Biz and they either bit off more than they could chew in $ or they decided that they wanted something else bigger/smaller...'

It could be just a situation of it being someone else's headache though...

Quite interesting all the same.

The previous owner of my 382 had 950 H.P. motors and claimed 114 mph. He went through 4 sets of outdrives in less than 75 hours. I've had to replace one XR drive already and re-mount a lot of hardware on this boat due to previous use!

How is your 382 running? Did you finally get the set-up and props dialed in with the extension boxes?

I would hate to see the guy goose the throttles with the Bimini top up :)
and those B max's are they rated for that much power ?

I haven't done much but use the boat. I tried a set of 26's, but I don't want to move the ext. boxes until this fall. I am going to put some more energy into dialing it in then.

Wasn't the fastest 382 in the world just in Powerboat Mag a couple months back? He claimed 109mph. The ad claims 118mph. I think whoever buys this needs to set up a race to see who is the supreme 382 on the planet. I know a guy with a 353 that could follow them and pick up the drive / motor pieces
