05 Fastech trailer colors

Help me out here, have an 05 382 in the new Lazer color (the photo shoot boat)and will soon have a 353 in the new Flash color. Have ordered Prestige trailers but unsure of trailer colors. I wanted to do the 382 trailer in either black or the metallic gunmetal color(the predominate Lazer color),and the Flash trailer in either yellow or silver blue(the predominate Flash colors). Karen says no way,do both in Formula white and pinstripe in the colors. She says it will be too much color if we don't do white and will detract from the boats. If you haven't seen these new colors they are on the Formula website,or they are both in the new Oct Powerboat Mag 2 page ad that I got today. The Lazer has a black cockpit cover and Flash has a red cover. I normally listen to Karen on colors but would like some input from the Formula crew here. Opinions? Robert

Of course I would go with an aluminum trailer, but for steel, I agree with Karen. All white with stripes to tie it in with the boat.

Aluminum trailers can match too.
A little handy work with M3 striping tape  .

Black on both. It really makes the BOAT stand out, and not the trailer. Definately a primary color though, black or white, something easy to touch up.

I have always gone with the color that is LEAST predominant on the boat, for the trailer. It gives more of an accent or a compliment to the boat vs. a "too much of the same" look. For the Flash maybe go with the red or the purple, and for the Lazer, try the orange? Just my .02. I do the same with the bow reg. #'s, take the two colors that are the least predominant on the boat and do up the numbers with them in a base / outline effect. Looks sharp and compliments the colors that are less well seen when you first look at the boat.

Formula white with a few up grades. For sure electric jack. White is easy to touch up. Karen has my vote. Plus what if they don't want the trailer that you now have to paint to match the next boat. Rex

I'm with the Trout-man about the black. I have one. I would never choose it.

You know your customer base Robert, 90%+ go as a package for you don't they?

White is b o r i n g...

Picking out a secondary paint color for the trailer as noted above gives a real class, integrated look to the package.

Be daring for these two boats. These packages deserve lots of color!

Good luck!

THE GOOD STUFF--

Not to get off the subject but I'm sure I saw your boat "THE GOOD STUFF" floating in Northern, MI 03' 353 525's w/boxes the name certainly precedes the boat. The new owner is grinning from ear to ear. It is a gorgeous rig! I have an older 357 that is for sale, and I am in the market for a 353 or 382 so I had to go talk to him. His name was Shane from Traverse City. Small World!
