Default Thinking About A 292 Fas Tech

Looking At Buying A 2002 292 Fas Tech , It Has 34 Hrs On It , Like New Inside And Out , What Should I Look For ?? Do I Need High Octane Fuel , Do I Need To Still Brake In The Motors ? Its Has Twin 6.2 Bravo Motors , 377 I Believe , Is That The Best Motor , Fuel And Speed Wise ? Thanks John

6.2 will be 320 each and the best I saw on my previous 292 which was an 02 was 74 GPS great boat still miss it sometimes when the tide is low and the 353 won't come off the trailer,But then there is that travel lift and splash I am over it! You don
't need more than 87 oct. with those motors as the ecm is set to run. I would like to see external steering on it as I ran mine to the limit at times and like that piece of mind.Maybe some maintenance records and an extended warranty. You will love that boat as it is pretty easy on fuel and not to big for the bay but a little short for the Atlantic.

I'm looking to move up to a 419 here in the next month or so, my 89 311, is up for sale to a good home, its complete w/ 502's and lots of extras, if your interested let me know. I would love someone to own her that would enjoy it as much as I have. I agree w/ donzilla, external hydraulic steering is da bomb!..Rob

I sure do, here is the ebay link, Ive gotten lots of mail on it. not sure if they are true enthusiasts or not. Ive had this out in the cheasapeake when it got real rough, and thats what sold me on the formula name. I had been in other boats that didnt handle the chop well at all. My Donzi got pretty scary anything over 2 feet...Rob

(ebay listing deleted cuz some old man got his depends twisted) email me for details

The pic of the boat on the lift actaully isnt my boat, it shows the paint scheme. I had already had it shrinkwrapped when the 419 came available. the pics arent the greatest,I had to shimmy under the shrinkwrap to get them, and at 6'4" that wasnt easy. I can be emailed at [email protected] or call me toll free at 866-776-3682 ask for Rob. I'm getting anxious to get the 419, and Ive found that anyplace I check values I get different numbers ABOS Has it around 42K,that seems to be the avg, I could live with that. I own this outright, just dont want to have 2 boats again, well i do, lol, but dont have time for that anymore. The summers get time spent between Harley riding, streetrods and boating.

I've also got a 2002 292 with 350mpis,,,super clean boat and could take a partial trade on it...as Far as going to the Bahamas,,I took my 89 272 with twin 420s to the islands on three diffrent occasions with no problems.....Nick

So far in its life its been a freshwater boat(St Johns river),,,,,mainly because I'm LAZY and don't like cleaning up the mess from saltwater..

whichever one you get you will love the ride. I have found that the only bad formula is one that was mistreated by the owner. My 311 handles chop like a dream. I got caught out on the Chesapeake in big breakers, in early Oct, and it sold me right there! even when we came down hard, I never heard rattleling or was worried.Look like I may have two in the stable...

I may be in the market in the spring. Hard to sell a boat (up north) in fall so mine goes up for sale again in April. My target is 27-31 formula with BBC's under $50K.

Well, mine is in your target area, I live out in Sykesville, if you would like to see it you're more than welcome to. I have it here all shrinkwrapped and bundled for winter. Like I had posted earlier, I could live w/ 40-42 for it, for someone that would give it a good home. I usually drop in at Sandy point, you may have seen it out this year.
