More. The pics of the slots are just that. You get back into some canyons and they are barely wide enough to get through. They usualy open up to turn around, but I have had to back out quite a ways before. The water is 120' +/- down from full pool in the pic with the sunken boat. The are scattered about and if you pay attention you can find 'em.

I'm gonna have to make a road trip. That just looks too good to pass up.
Maybe I can talk Cuda into coming out with me. |

Man, thats' some beautiful boating scenery!!!! It would be a long drag but I'd love to bring the ThirdBird out there.
About that one shot that shows the anchor on the deck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, is your anchor just sitting right on the deck?????????????? Didn't see a windlass. Ouch man!!!! |
Re: Lake Powell from the seat in a 311
Third that looks like a real of line to me not the anchor. Man that makes me want to take a road trip. Maybe some day we will all have to have a run out there. The mad dash from the east!!! :D:D I figure I need another 2-3 years to be ready so you all have time. Of course Cuda may have lost his license by then but I am sure Deb can handle it for him :D:D

But beautiful  |
Re: Lake Powell from the seat in a 311
The place has spoiled me for all other lakes so far. May take me a couple more summers but the wife and I are talking about a month or two tour of all the big lakes we can pull to. I see pics of LOTO and Cumberland ect. and feel the need to buy a few extra spare tires and head out.
NO anchors on the deck, just a reel. It is usually on a towel also. |
Re: Lake Powell from the seat in a 311
That WOULD be worth trailering out to.
