Re: McMachen Marine??

Say Ray, No Detroit area Formula dealer right now. Spoke w/ the regional mgr. just the other day and he said they are still looking for a dealer in this area. Formula is going to be at the Detroit boat show as a manufacturers display w/ dealers from Ohio there and the dealer from Charlevoix as "sellers". I bought my 03 382 from Dry Harbour in Charlevoix. (About 50 miles north of Traverse City). Take care Wrink

Huh. Of course, I've never heard anything good about Mcmachen, so it may be no great loss.

I hadn't heard about this yet. Might want to consider Monroeville Marine in Monroeville Ohio. Very good people and one of the oldest Formula dealers. They have always done right by me. Dave Gerber @ 419-465-2558. Also Robert (Magicfloat on OSO) has been very helpful.

Heard about it last fall at the Metro Beach boat show. The dealer from Charlevoix was advertising as "Michigans only Formulla Dealer". I went by McMachens and sure enough, the Formula signs were gone. Wonder what they did with the boats they had in stock?

Over the years I've ordered parts for my boats from them and I never had any complaints.

Yeah, in my quest for a job in the marine industry again, I made a call to McMachens and sure enough, the are NOT a Formula dealer. The only one is up near Traverse City as was previously mentioned. Hmmm, I want a job in the marine industry, Detroit needs a Formula dealer... :evilb:

Yes, Dave Gerber @ Monroeville is good people. Came very close to closing a deal with him. He was very pleasant and attentive, class act for sure.

Robert Nelems' reputation is well known here. Having just hooked me up with a few things for my boat, and having tossed around some #'s on a couple boats in the last couple years, let me just say that indeed...he is THE BOMB as the kids say today. :D
