We are boat shopping again and I like the 303- 336 Formulas.

As I am searching I am seeing that the 303 is priced the same or HIGHER then comperable 336's,,,,,,,

WTF !!!!???????

Here's what I found on Yachtworld.com....without doing the math it appears that there are indeed cases where you can find a 336 cheaper, but on average I would have to say the 336's are more...

Yep, and having been in both boats the 3' feels more like 5', plus you get an enclosed head in the 336 (this is particularly useful when selling wives/girlfriends on the concept)...

Only 250 original hours on twin 502 EFI's!
With 2002 aluminum trailer.
Very clean boat.

PLEEEEEEEESE dont take offence,,,,, but I did see your boat,,,it is VERY clean,,, but again,,, I can get a 336 for the same $ or less .

May need a couple bucks of work, but its still 3' more boat plus amenities.

Downside,,,, the 303's have better graphics then the 336's I have seen !!!!!

This the 93 336 that I bought last year. Twin 454 mags.
One local owner from new with all records from day one.
238 fresh water hours. Triple axle custom trailer. Options were depth finder, fridge, pump out head, battery charger/shorepower, VHF radio, Kenwood stereo, Garmin GPS210 added later.

This year I replaced Kenwwod with Alpine CD, removed rattling silent thunder box and installed HPI mufflers, and replaced black steering wheel with purple from Too Old.

I have been out in both the 303 and 336 and the 336 definitely feels like a much bigger boat than the 3'3" says on the tape measure.

This 336 was my second choice. I talked to the owner about it at length, and sounds like a very clean well maintained boat. It's listed on Boat Trader for $75K. The reason I went with the other one was partially the lower price, but this one also has 525SC's in it and I really don't want a boat with superchargers for several reasons. I do like the graphics, though...

I don't know the boat, but found it on boattrader. It's 100 miles from me, but find out exactly where. There are a few members from that area on here. Maybe someone can make a visit. We have a place on the water 1/2 way between here and there, maybe I will be able to get down that way in the next few weeks???

I flew to Cape Coral Florida to look at a "mint" 95 or 96 (don't remember anymore) 336 two years ago for $69K, no trailer. The person sent many pictures, unfortunately, they had to have been old pictures (ie when it was new ??) because that boat was a real POS. Vinyl was all ripped/rotted, gauge lens were all crazed REALLY bad, and when I fired up one of the engines, it BLEW OUT the dipstick (no, i didn't mis-type this, it blew the dipstick out and then oil mist started blowing out), skegs were missing on the outdrives, and the list goes on. Looked at the oil breather and is was just dripping oil. Supposedly, this was "mint". I wasted a lot of money and time! We did take the boat out for a drive, though and the best it saw on flat saltwater was 61 mph (gps). I have seen this boat still for sale on a couple of sites and they are still showing the "good" pictures of it. :rolleyes:

Its an 89 311 twin EFI 502's Bravo 4 blade bravo 1 props, 26 pitch, 430 hours on starboard motor, about 50 on port. lots of extras, imco steering, am/fm/cd subs and eq. A/C, fridge microwave. Imron # 3 graphics. Iwill probly pull the shrink wrap off in late March, depending on the weather, sometime march snow is worse than any other month. once I do that its ready to roll. The pic was an old one.... upholstry was shot, hull was banged up and rub rail was ripped off in two spots...things were loose...motors looked band-aided..... salt corrosion all over.....definitely pass on that boat..............
