No, never had any kids. Have mixed emotions about that fact. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Could have had a couple of times but ended up not.
Scott, surprisingly enough, it's not much louder at all in the cockpit, below say 3500 rpms. You can easily listen to music and carry on a normal conversation. We don't have noise issues down here. 95% of offshore boats run "open exhaust", it's rare to see mufflers much less see/hear someone using them. I guess that kinda offsets the "manatee" issues we have to deal with. My wife says she may never get on the boat again, her stubborness issues not mine, so a swim platform probably won't be necessary. If she changes her mind and decides to enjoy it with me I would consider puting on an Extreme Marine unit or something similar. If she doesn't, her loss. For present it's gonna stay as is. I think it made all the difference in the world. |
