Drive cooler w/ "factory" Latham Steering
I am looking for a drive shower that will attach with the factory Latham set-up. '04 twin Bravos with top-plate mounts. The Latham plates attach over the top plate but have a threaded hole approximately an inch round in the middle that looks like an ideal place for a shower to go through. Does anybody know if Latham makes a shower that works with this set-up or would a Hardin etc flexible shower fit?

Re: Drive cooler w/ "factory" Latham Steering
Used an Imco pick-up/hose to a square stock brass 90* and a raw stainless reducer threaded into the top plate. Worked like a charm. I'll try to remember to get a pic when I'm over there tomorrow.

Sounds like a clean way to do it, thanks. I want to get all the house keeping done in March before it's time to hit the water. If you get a chance...I'd like to see a pic.

Re: Drive cooler w/ "factory" Latham Steering
We use the Simrek showers that work well. Used them on Dukenrock's new 382 with Lathum. These are the same showers that Formula installs from the factory on 370 and 400SS models. The Simrek guy is very helpful on special applications too. He has a website,do a search for drive showers,or I'm sure someone has the link.

Re: Drive cooler w/ "factory" Latham Steering
Thanks, if I can't get a cooler to fit directly to the top plate, I'll look into a rigid system like Simrek. I like Rippem's solution if I can find a reducer that will fit the latham plate.

Here's the finished product for anyone interested in a drive shower that fits the stock Latham top-plate hole. Went together easily and looks pretty good.

Re: Drive cooler w/ "factory" Latham Steering
Hey Bikini, that looks like a nice solutin for those running factory Latham, but when I went on Imco's site the only pickups that looked close to what you're running were $100.
I'm thinking I want dual pickups and 'T' them into the top of the Latham cap, but if I've got to spend $200 per drive for just the pickups...it's an expensive home-made solution  Bikini, where did you get the pickups and how much $$? Did you assemble the hoses yourself or buy pre-made? |
