Anybody know where to get a replacement icebox / cooler for the cabin?

Cooler liner is $263.31 from Fountain plus ship @$25.00 so about 287.00 complete It will take aprox 7 days to make 1 at the factory.. (Fountain builds there own) let me know I can have it direct shipped to you from fountain..

If you take a RotoZip, a 50 qt Coleman will also fit (In a 38 anyway). It hangs on the handles. If you don't use the Fountain lid, you could easily make it removable.

You need to turn the sping brackets around and replace the Coleman spigot with a thru hull for the drain.

You get a little more room below.

The problem with the factort installed coolers is there is no support underneath, I am surprised Fountain has not addressed this. I stopped using my boat coolers all together.

When I was following the routing of my cooler drain hose, I found it to just end right a the front of the fuel tank cavity. Problem was, that cavity does not have a hole in the rear to drain whatever would have gotten in there into the bildge. I was able to fish a semi hard drain line from the cooler, into the side storage area, under the floor and out one of the off center drain holes which is about 8-10" above the bilge floor. A direct drain hose from the cooler to the bilge. I don't like the idea of water anywhere in the inner frame work of my boats. Just don't trust all water to drain out without some type of poor planning, just like my cooler draining findings.
I'm wanting to use the thru hull drain that was originally the exit for the cabin bilge pump (which I removed) for the cooler drain since it is jsut a few inches away, but that fitting is higher than the cooler bottom as it sits now.

I took a series of 1"x2"'s and built a "frame" support system under the cooler once my first cooler went the way of 6 footers. I stacked 3 of them under the cooler in two different places and screwed them together with supporting 1"x2"s. This works well and I have my cooler back. I also rerouted the drain with a new direct line to the bilge so I didn't have to wonder where the water went. The forward cabin bilge is useless. I also removed that.
