supercharger questions??
Iam looking to enhance the performance and speed of my new to me 1999 32 fever. I have stock 502's currently running max 77mph gps.turning 26 hydros @5000rpms
350 hrs on engines running very strong with no issues. thinking to fit the motors with prochargers. but I dont want to be in the shop or under the hatch every weekend . one suggestion I got was this: lavorsi prochargers with 502 program running approx 4lb of boost pushing 600+- hp turn 28 or 30 4 blades said i should see approx 10mph gain but I want to feel somewhat safe and not run out of hull pushing 1200 hp behind 32 foot need some help with my decision  |
Re: supercharger questions??
I had a 1993 32 Fever years ago (non-step) hull. I built up my 525 Sc's into 600 HP's. The boat ran an honest 93 MPH. A 38 Lightning with the new step hull will run 92 MPH out of the box.
My advice to you, your engines have a lot of hours on them to go with Pro-Chargers. If you want reliability, leave them alone, save your money and buy a 35 or 38 Lightning equipped with 525's. You gain the speed you want and keep the reliability. Only a suggestion Fountaindriver |
Re: supercharger questions??
thanks for suggestion, that was my original idea but iam not ready to step up to bigger just yet my new lift and dock configuration will not handle bigger than 32 foot
looking for a few pro and con suggestions, so keep replying all you fountain lovers out here Iam not opposed to freshing up the uppers to bring the effective age of the motors up either. |
Re: supercharger questions??
you will like the blowers, sounds like conserative boost :D

Re: supercharger questions??
You do not have enough room under the hatch for a roots type blower, a Vortech or Procharger might be an easier install.

Re: supercharger questions??
I was looking at the livorsi extreme procharger they claim 210+ hp gain on min boost, sounds like a nice product without going crazy on the motors. Any users of this type system out there I would Like to hear what you think.
Any one out there with pricing I would like to here from you too. |
Re: supercharger questions??
I would say with the hours, at least a top end would be necessary and likely a complete valvetrain upgrade may be needed b4 you do any upgrades like this.
Call Fred (Too Old) at Trick Marine he is in good with Livorsi and has great pricing. I have heard nothing but good about the Livorsi system. Good luck. |
Re: supercharger questions??
