Congratulations! I tried Shogren twice but had no luck with price. Would love to have a 42X.

Do you have pictures yet? What colors, options, we need to know all that good stuff! :D

I told the wife we are 500. ahead as I would have had to spend 500. on a new stereo for the 35.

The new 42 comes with a new stereo so I just saved 500. I'll figure I'm ahead for maybe 10 minutes or so.

You'll love it. Congrats. I just ordered one for myself. All white w/ white out rails. Carbon fiber gauges, etc. should look good.

BUYfount...sounds nice. Careful of the rails with rings and people trying to help you in. I had white out and made the whole boat on my 35. congrats also.

Yeah, PIA, but looks good. I just use it for promo's and poker runs, etc. Other than that it stays inside for sales. Hopefully I'll put about 50 hrs on it this summer. Anyone want to step up for a good deal for next spring??? Taking deposits now.

You will love the 42X. I had an 05 with 525's and loved it, ran great.

Liked it so much I ordered another one an 06.

Fuel won't be a problem with 525's, they are very economical and run best on the lowest octane you can find (preferrably 87 if available)

Did you buy a 42X or a 42PR? I know your 05 was a great boat. Thunder Run 2004 had so many Fountains entered it looked like Beak fest. :D

Dan,
I was going to get the poker run, but decided to get another 42X, it fits my families boating style better.

Did order it with 600's, shorties, herrings and the drop down bolsters instead of the rear bench seat.

Should be done around the 20th May, just counting down the days for boating season to begin.

That sounds Sweet!!! That boat should run real good with the 600's. Sounds like the perfect Poker Run boat with the rear bolsters. What graphic package did you go with?
