The new (2005) Lightning has more freeboard and the boat runs higher in the bow as compared to my 2001 and 2003 Lightnings. Needless to say I am very happy with my Fountain. Retail price of my boat is around 500K anyone want to guess what a 38 TG equipped with Sterling power and dry sump #6 drives will cost. BTW, Downtown 42, beautiful boat, you dealt with two of the best Fountain dealers in the country, I hope you enjoy your 42 Lightning. Fountaindriver |

Downtown 42,
It appears from the picture of the young lady on your new boat you are the King, way to go. I hope she loves boating. Maverick, I will be in Pickwick this next weekend for the OSS races, the following weekend I will be in Galveston with the fishboat. Have you heard the latest, Matt Beddoe graduated from college, before he gets a job he is going to work for me helping with the upcoming boating events and if that is not enough, I will have him working in Dallas for the oil and gas company. Also, I ordered a 42 MTI equipped with 1075 EFI Sterling power, MTI claims it will be a 150 MPH boat, not sure who will be driving that fast because I can assure you it will not be me. If everything goes according to plan, I should have the MTI for the Fourth of July weekend. A group of us are going to the Smoke on the Water poker run the weekend after the Fourth of July, start talking it up with your crew and come join us. If the MTI is here, I will probably bring it along with the Fountain. I will probably be on the lake for Memorial Day weekend, I can not wait to see your beautiful Cigarette Gladiator. If I say please will you give me a ride. Tell your mom and dad hello for me and tell John I want to give him a real ride. Finally, Hydrocruiser, I am not Reggie, just one of his loyal subjects, but I will give credit where credit is due, Skip and Neil have done a wonderful job with the Cigarette product, their rigging is immaculate Fountaindriver |

I pulled this from the past...
http://www.fountainpowerboats.com/bo.../42pr_over.asp "Powered by Mercury 525’s hooked to short Bravo XR drives with 5-blade Herring props this speedster tops out at 95+ MPH. So if your looking to get some attention - The 42 Poker Run definitely gets the job done! " |

GPS now at 84..I'll get a pic...was 87 when I got it but never got pic.
With light fuel and no extra weight, 85-86 is about all I can do. |
