Post Hydromotive Props

From what I understand the Hydro's work very well on the Fountains, What is it about them that makes them work so well on the F hull? I am looking for props this spring, my boat seems to ride a little too ass down in my opinion, too much wetted surface, I have the stock merc 3 blade stainless general purpose 23's....mirage plus's? hydro"s?

Mike-I called Hydromotve, real nice guys, said I should have 3 blade round ear props on my non step hull, no 4 bladers. Gave him my numbers @ rpm said everything sounded about right on, said I needed bow lift to reduce that wetted surface, maybe lab finish but didnt think new props would be worth it. said I should verify the numbers on GPS, sounds like good advice. I couldnt get through to Jeff Harris @ Fountain

Twin29 I have a 1988 29, although I believe its different than yours, every 4 blade I tried was terrible. They handled bad and gave no speed advantage. The best I have found for mine is Mirage Plus.

BRS- I know the decks are signifigantly different but I think the hulls are the same. What do you have for power? drives?

Twin29 my boat is a 8.8 Meter. The drives are factory installed Bravo 1's. The first year for them and they are mounted pretty low as a result but that is a whole seperate issue. Last season I was running 510in big blocks that dynoed 549hp @ 5200 and 600# at 4400. I've tried every set of props I could get my hands on and somewhere have results of all the testing (speeds @ rpm, acelleration times, and top speeds) I did with them. If your intrested in the results e-mail your phone #. The best to date has been the 27 Mirage plus, 81.1 GPS @ 5400rpm.
