Bildge Pump Replacement

Have a 2000 29' 500HP, and need to replace one of the bilge pumps. Looking at it last night, does not appear to be as easy as I thought, can barley get my hand on it......I hope it does not require pulling the engine....Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Also took it out for the first time this year and everything checked out fine except for the silent choice. It would "release" to thru hull every 2 min. (I have to toggle it back on) Do the solenoid's go bad, or could I have a small air leak?

Thanks!

Usually the actuators go bad. If they show rust then call CMI and not Fountain. They should replace them for you.

I had same problem with pump on a 27 I found best way to get pump out was to break it in pieces then replace with a large "Rule" pump
