LI Fun Run Input
 

This goes out to the long Island people and anyone willing to travel to Long Island for a day.

I am interetsed in getting some input on some suggestions for a long Island fun run. Looking for destinations and routes and what people would like to do or places they have not been and would like to see.

Hey Vinnie,

Just a thought, how about a run that starts at Claudio's (just to meet up, not to park and eat), run hard thru the Peconic thru the lock then either outside (wind and weather permitting) or inside to Patchogue let 'em rip again and settle in for a lunch at any one of a dozen places I know of in the river, Flynn's, etc. Should make for a nice day with plenty of open water for rat racin'. The meeting at Claudio's might entice the Connecticut boys to join in. Also, if the western Southshore guys want to pick us up enroute that would be OK too...we just stay on an open frequency or use the cellphones to coordinate. Whatcha' think?

hey..
we're doing a june 11-12 thing...
the 11th we'll patrol the sound and the ct river, the 12th we hope to do the bay, shelter island and claudios...rally the troops!

I agree with the Gary route and would suggest June 25th with the 26th as a rain date. I'll even offer my place for drinks afterwards, for those who are interested.... Radio in hand on channel 69, let's ROCK... Also we could go to Tequila Jacks - you anchor and they pick you up. Water is calm, very cool place to eat, the view is kick a$$... Pretty sure the 11th and 12th is already a date for a Super Boat bash......

Sounds good to me...

Vinny it would be excellant PR to hit all the Great, South Bay Hotspots Patchoque, Oakdale, Bayshore, Babylon, Lindenhurst,
Kismet, Ocean Beach, etc.

Good luck with the new OL, is it new or gently used?? Did you sell the 35 to someone local, anxious to see the pics!

gary , thanks, sold the 35 to a guyin vancouver, its a 55 hour haul from here.
the ol is used but in the sweetest condition i have ever seen.

OK, I plan to attend the CT boy's run on the 11th but probably just one day. Still waiting for Vinnie to step up and finalize this run. I can do any weekend for the next two months except June 25/26...but this should not be about one guy, let's get this thing going! I am pretty sure that our "gang of three" 29's will make it, who else??

Had to set up my buddies stag party all day on the 11th and than be the bartendar that night. This saturday have a cousins graduation party, Sunday is a company picnic, next Saturday is my buddies wedding, followed by a picnic for the wedding party and family the next day. YOU THINK PEOPLE WOULD THINK MORE ABOUT ME, MY BOAT, AND MY PRECIOUS SUMMER WEEKENDS !!!!
