To turn the props in or out?

35 lightning t/s 88 mph/gps turning props outward rotation. If I were to change the props to inward rotation would it handle any differently at WOT? how much increase in top speed? thnx in advance for your opinions :D

I have tryed switching and have mine spinning in . But would rather have them turning out. If you want to try swap props and put the brives in reverse and run it . BUT to dock it around other boats could get interesting. up might see one mph on top . But will not handle as good docking.

leave the props spending outward............inward keeps the ass of the boat in the water, also harder to park. Tom

I kept my props spinning outward rotation but instead of running 32 labbed bravo 1 I tried 30 pitch 5 blade Maximus and lost 4 mph at WOT. Will stick with the Bravo 4 blades top mph is what I'm looking for

I could be wrong ,but I have always been told spinning in lifts the transom. Anyone know for sure.

Re: To turn the props in or out?

Mine were originally spinning in. Docking sucked big time, so I swapped them. Huge difference/ improvement. 2 weeks ago did some prop testing with different props, pitches and rotations. All testing was done in a 2 hr time period.
I swapped them back to spinning in looking for a bit more speed, just in case my lack of experience was the problem when I 1st got the boat. Nope! docking still sucked. Made a couple WOT runs anyways. Lost 2 mph, boat felt a little more out of control, (wanted to float around more). Put them back to spinning out, got my 2 mph and better control back. Strange why I lost the speed when turning in, goes against the golden rule.

I gotta tell ya switching the props to spin out was the best thing i did.
I look like a pro around the docks, I can park her on a dime, and the boat runs 82.3 on GPS with full tanks and flat water. And handles great.

Joe

That's what I had always heard and spinning in lifts bow. Now my 35 came spinning in from factory and have not changed. Around pumps I'm ok, backing in dock can be interesting depending on conditions.

I can already feel a light rearend when wot / 1' chop & wind, will spinning out only increase that sensation???
