35' Fountain '04 Lightning - Prop slip

35' w/ 525 EFIs - Lightning Twin Step w/B-1, 32 pitch - 1:50 gear XR, 5300 rpm, 91 GPS

16% prop efficiency is too much in my book.

Has anyone tried spacing lower unit by 1" w/same props?

Or 5 blade props w/same stock X-dimension?

I'm interested in knowing your performance numbers.
I don't know which direction to take. Your input is appreciated and might save me a few bucks!

Thanks again.

Welcome to OSO and this Fountain group. Great people & tons of knowledge will be found here.... Just watch out for the dig's from the Cig guys :)

Can't help you on the question, just a welcome. You might also post this in the "Prop Talk" section as well. Julie from Throttle Up monitors and can dial you in.

a 5 blade prop will make your boat get on plane faster and give you more midrange speed but I dont think it will give you any top end improvement as far as top speed goes, if you are getting a true 91 mph with only 525';s be happy cause the 575's are only running 2 or 3 mph faster, lab your props and you will pick up 1 maybe 2 mph, a spacer may make your slip go down but will also give you more drag in the water, remember a bravo one prop on slip numbers is not a true to size prop, do the math again this time use 31 as your prop number

What prop are your running on the Poker Run boat? Pitch? Labbed? Also, what r.p.m.'s at WOT? You say it is lighter than a 35 Lightning, what does it weigh? One last question, does it have a 24 degree bottom? Sorry for all of the questions but I think the 42 Poker Run Fountain is an awesome boat!
