If you go to a fabric store or Walmart they have some stuff in a tube that has a ball point tip. what you do is squeeze the tube and color in the faded part, it is thick so it won't run.

I did it on a baja and it looked good. THe ball point helps keep the lines nice and neat.

Also it wont run when it gets wet, just let it dry for 24hrs.

Might have to try this on ours. The 47 stitching on the seats is starting to fade. What is the name of the product ???

I would be concerned that the dye would keep "seeping outward" after a few months in the heat. Has anyone used a specific product, on white interior, and can verify its long term success?

My mom found the stuff when I was in the Boy Scouts, we used it to make Troop flags. we washed them every few trips and the never faded. One day I was cleaning my old Baja and tried it on the seats and years after I sold it I saw it on the river and it still looked good.

Is it a felt tip marker or paint? No one has said the name of the product yet.

It is funny this thread came up I was wondering last weekend how to keep the threads on my head rest to keep from pulling out. The one you painted lookes good. I thought I would try finger nail clear on the threads to keep them from pulling. anyone else having the threads pulling out?
