Re: Nice
What are you using for rotating assemblies, pistons, cam, heads.... etc?

Re: Nice
Callies 4340 forged steel crank, Manley H beam rods, Je flat top pistons. To answer the question of the HP, the engines are completly blueprinted instead of assembling the parts from the box. We check every rod journal large and small and hone as needed. Even though it may only be .0005" ,when it is a few it could mean 10-20 hp. Also the block is blueprinted making sure there is no deck slope to ensure compression on each cylinder are the same. Also goes with internally ballancing the crank and rods. Rod sets usually come within 2-4 grams from the lightest to heaviest. We take the lightest and perfectly match the rest along with the piston set. Extensive port work is done to the heads along with matching head to intake ports to maximize flow and efficently. Along with many other things. Putting all the little differences together it makes a BIG difference allowing us to use the same components as someone else and build more horsepower and a more reliable engine.
