Blue / Black Cabin wiring

I tried to hook up a cabin fan in my 04 38. There is a pair of black and blue wires in berth area on the port side next to the light, in the same location the fan was on my 29.

There appearently is no power to this wire. Does it have to be connected at the other end of the harness? And where might that be?

Thanks,

F

Not sure if the same, but both mine had an extra set of wires that ran up to the nose for the docking lites if ordered. They just ran from the cockpit power panel to the nose, not hooked up.

Don't know about the newer boats but the docking lights used to be brown with yellow and green for left and right. The blue was for cabin power.

Call Fountain, they should be able to send you in the right direction.

Goodt,

I'd apreciate it if you could check.

The reason I think these are the correct wires for the fans is that the have unused terminal ends in the same place that my 29 had fans. Just no power.

This fan fits nicely into the square Fountain hatch and is held in with place with 4 straps with snaps.

$63 from http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...-volt-fans.htm but West has them.

Does anyone know if they wire for fans or docking lights if they were not ordered as an option? Asking about my 2000 38 lightning.

John,

The wires are all there. My problem is that they appearently aren't hooked up to anything at the other end.

There are lots of wires for options that I don't have including speaker wires.

Found the other end.

The black was connected to the ground terminal block. The blue wire was taped back on itself just under the sink. Hard to find because the connector was hidden under the tape.
