I spoke to my dealer @ Pier 57 and asked the same question, Answer was David Woods heart is still with Fountain but its a business to make money. Sounds like BS to me as a consumer I feel like I should be able to spend my money at whatever dealer I want to. The last I heard was an international sale of a previous loyal customer (multi Fountain buyer) was told he could no longer buy from Pier 57 he had to purchase through the international dealer. That may of rubbed off the wrong way for the last time. Too bad since say 70% of the Fountain race boats are either owned or someway sponsored by Pier 57, nice loyalty on their end. |
