Re: How do you get used to left handed levers?
Being right handed I feel that I have more control over the steering wheel than I ever did before. With the traditional setup I found myself setting the throttle and then switching my right hand over to the wheel. It just felt more comfortable albeit lazy. Of course I had to "switch" back when making speed adjustments.
Now my hands are on the controls and wheel at all times. And at high speeds that is a good thing. It becomes second nature in zero time. |

I was sort of worried about this when i bought my boat, but once i got in it and started to drive, it was no problem. I would say i like it better on the left, because it's nice to steer with the right hand.
I was also concerned about not being able to slide the seat back, as it was a bit of a snug fit (27 fever, i'm 6'2") when i checked the boat out. But once i got it out on the water, that concern went away also. I fit perfectly, and i can wedge my knees on the pad under the dash and it holds me in my seat pretty well. |

Left is no prob. Just use your mouse on left hand thru winter and when springy rolls around you'll be ready to roll :drink: |
Re: How do you get used to left handed levers?
I had no problem switching from right to left drive/throttle controls on my Fountain.
But.........................keep an eye on left seat passengers in rough water. One may reach out for a hand hold and mistakenly grap one of those controls. Also..............watch anyone going into/out of the cabin while your moving as they may also reach out for a hand hold and also grap a control. ed |

Too many people make to much out of this. There is nothing to get used to. Do you have to get used to driving from the right side? Hmmm
