Jump start adaptor???
I have a 2000 32 with twin 502's...There is a female plug adapter mounted on the base of the rear seat used to jump start the boat if the bateries are dead. (batteries are under the power engine hatch) I can not find a male adapter anywhere that will plug into this.....I bought the boat used so I don't know if it is suppose to come with boat or not?!?!?!?
Any help?????? |
Re: Jump start adaptor???
Not sure about the newer boats but my '89 has a household type Dryer outlet under the rear seat. Then a jumper cable with a dryer plug is used to connect to it. Sounds odd but works very well. I think that some of the newer ones use hook-ups like you see on some race cars and trailer winches.

Re: Jump start adaptor???
My 04 came with the cables that plug in to that connector.
Call any Fountain Dealer, I am sure they can order you the cable... Good Luck |

Re: Jump start adaptor???
Napa sells them, its the same setup for external cables
that tow trucks & emergency equipment uses. If you cant find it let me know. I have an extra set of cables from my brothers 29 when it sank. |
Re: Jump start adaptor???
search function works!
good info, i'm hitting up NAPA. want to use this sort of as a security feature (amps are under the hatch). I'll pull the batteries for winter storage and power the hatch closed on the jumper cables. probably have to tape up or otherwise cover the battery connections though so it doesn't short out. |
Re: Jump start adaptor???
its also the same as the connection for charging fork lifts
