price for a Teague Custom Marine motor

I'm selling my 1997 single engine Fountain 29 footer. It has 240 hours total, and about 150 hours on a Teague Custom Marine 509 blower motor. How much more can I get for the boat due to this motor? Or is it not worth any more than if it had a Mercury HP500, etc?

Just have to find the right buyer thats wants to go faster than the average 29 footer

But when I post the "for sale" ads should I add any extra to the price for this motor?

Most buyers would rather see Merc 500s......Sorry :(

I sold my last boat with the motor returned back to stock, and sold the blower package separately. Not much response in trying to sell it with a blower motor.

the best way to get the most out of it is to put a 500 efi back in and sell the 509 for cash either as a spare or to someone else most people these days want a turn key trouble free boat and blowers scare them unless they are blue

No doubt, blower motors scare people, even more if they are not Mercury.

I agree with the others to a point. Unfortunatley fear of blowers is kinda like fear of the dark, Unnecessary.. Most blowers when set up today are quite reliable and only enhance the power package when done properly.. It's too bad people are genrally wary of these things... A lot of prospective buyers could have some really great boats without a lot of work!!

OK, let's say I end up having problems selling the boat with Teague blower motor. What is the best way to convert it back to a normally aspirated motor?
