Alright, I put down a dep. on that 29'. 2 questions: best insurance rate??? So far the best I've found is 1500 with World Wide. No. 2 Weight with full load of fuel and aluminum trailer? I know the boat is 5850 dry, just curious of full weight. Thanks again...

Total quoted me 3k a year!!! I have a perfect driving record on land and sea. All others have said no way to this boat. Funny that they'll insure MR./MS. DUMAS on a PWC and 90 mph Bass boats but not this. Thanks for the weight info, my Titan can tow over 9k. Just curious if I can stay with the Class III receiver or should I use the Class IV? This boat would rarely be full of fuel anyways though.

You might try World Wide Marine Insurance, Bob Luellen at 1-800-339-1235. His name was passed on to me from Randy Hartman from Cumberland Lake Marine. I have talked to Bob, about insuring a 35 or 38 Liht, he was cheaper than anyone I received quotes from and he is heavy into boating so he knows his stuff. Good Luck

Progressive. I believe bob was the guy i went through and ended up with progressive. 1200 or so a year on a 91 27 fever.

Not really sure on the weight, the 27 is supposedly 5500 lbs. Add fuel and trailer and i figure i'm towing close to 7k lbs. trailer it came with had a 6k lb surge brake on it, i replaced that with one good for 6600 lbs. towed it with a '91 suburban, 350 tbi, it was a turd but it towed fine. just got an 02 navigator, a little less wheelbase (you can feel it on the highway) but everything else is better.

I have had my auto insurance with State Farm for 20 years (no claims or accidents) and my local rep said "no way" to this boat. Then again she asked my if the nose of the boat was "pointy" or "square" shaped. Who's your rep Rush?

I just bought mine and got it insured for $385.00. Through American family. They also said I could get a $50.00 discount if I took the coast guard test.
