just bought a 1990 27-29 fever w/twin 454 mags----absolutly stole it....needs new upholstery and the gauges need to be updated, otherwise the boat is good to go. the power has just been refreshed 25 hours ago (by a marina). have never owned a fountain before (have had other boats) and would like to hear any advise any of you have, and performance specs if anyone here has the same boat. also if any one knows where i can get a cool fountain rear deck skin in red and white and the shock that holds up the cabin door. lets hear some opinions :evilb: ...........steve

You can buy the skins from Fountain, but very pricey. I had some repair done on my last 27 at a marina that had an in house interior guy. Very good and reasonable. I bought my replacement strut from West Marine.

I had a 1989 29 with twin 425hp/454s nose cones, CMI headers, labbed props, ran an honest 82mph. Great boat ran well in rough water for its size. Only issue I had was coming off of plane fast, the wake will wash up on the sun pad. I think mine had a spring to hold the cabin door open.

I just had the 2 strips between the 'headrest' on the hatch pad replaced, so no price from Fountain needed. That's a high wear area on all Fountains do to the tight stitching and no support underneath.

Page Bob, blownincome from here. He's a Fountain dealer and can get a price for you or at least an idea on what to expect.
Your interior looks almost just like what my '94 27 did, except the white out package.

that looks great :D the only thing im worried about is i would like to have super artic white, but the hull is kind of off white....which also makes a hard decision for dash panel color
