Re: 1997 Fountain History
You don't want that boat its to slow :D

Re: 1997 Fountain History
That's for sure.It was hard going from 138 mph down to 83, but wife and girls needed someplace to tidy up. Anyway if it runs a strong 115 we will all be happy. I get the speed , family gets the fixings.

Hope you got at least a one ton dually, that trailer with the fuel setup on the front has a T O N of tongue weight on it. |

Re: 1997 Fountain History
Good buddy of mine. The boat spent most of it's time on the Mississippi River in Minnesota. Has not been used the past few years, the guy got into airplanes.
There is another, almost identical one still in MN. In fact I'm storing it in my building. I had a 42 with triple 740 Teagues. All three of us had 97 42's with Teague set-ups. It used to be a blast haulin up and down the river together. The guy took care of the boat. I think he burned 110 race fuel in it. The one in my building has burned 110 for the last 5-6 years and now has 250+ hours on the motors with no problems. Thinks he can make it go one more year before he has Teague put more power into it. The only thing about the one at Shogren is it only has a porta-potty. The wife might not like that. If you want to know anything else about it, let me know. |
Re: 1997 Fountain History
You can find out anything you like about the boat by calling Bob Teague. The boat has only been used one time since Bob completely re-did just about everything.
