First Ilmor fountain
 

Can you say STEPCHILD! One of the few non-merc fountains available this year! We have had such good success with both fountain and ilmor we decided to cross breed. The boat is a 42 lightning with tripple rear bolsters solid yellow gel like the powerboat cover boat of eddie's The boat will be available soon!

cool but isnt Teague in California the only place you can get the Ilmor serviced......not a very user friendly set up for anyone more than 100 miles from the Teague shop IMO

Ilmor is in the process of building a netork of service dealers. Lake Cumberland Marine told they would service mine if I bought some 625's. I also think just about any Chrysler dealer could do it.

I would love to see some # on a Fountain or any V hull with Ilmors in it, we know the Ilmors scream in a cat, but lets see what they can do in a V.

No cabin but that is smoking for stock power. My guess is a 42 poker run would run similar numbers.

They do perform a little better in cats! We have had a 38zr donxi also that performed about 7-8 mph better then 525's. In an eliminator cat they have seen 12-15mph gains. As far as service goes. Ilmor has Dealer classes at the factory in MI. We are a servicing dealer. The best thing is that the ilmor's are built to last along time and run harder than most bbc's and no blower. They sound like an indy car at full throttle.

So would it be safe to say twin Ilmors 625's can push a 37-39 V w/ cabin into 100+ range (obviously depending on mfg), If so now that is impressive, :evilb:

the new 38 with the ilmor's would be my perfect package! 525's put it at 93mph, gotta be close to 98mph with the 625's. Just need to make some $$$$$ :evilb:

Just curious, are you ordering the boat with 496's and then yanking them yourself and putting the Ilmors in?

sorry it took so long to reply! We order the boat with 496 ho's and xr's. the lowers will need to be changed to compensate for the 600lbs of motor difference.Pictures soon!

Congratulations on the Ilmors. I have had the Ilmor package for almost 2 years now and could not be happier. I have had merc's and also blower motors and I have now found a package that I can run and enjoy. The Ilmors perform flawlessly and mind have about 70 hard hrs on them

Don't worry about the dealer/service network. They are working on that constantly. We have 2 authorized service centers in NC and 1 in SC. They are already about 15 or so service centers across the US. Check them out @ www.ilmor.com and then select from the menu.

The best part is it planes with zero tabs. It rides flatter and handles better.
