42 PR vs 42 Lightning
How can the cost of a 42 PR with 525's be more than a 42 lightning with the same power?
I can't believe these no cabin boats can cost anywhere near what a boat with ameneties cost. Makes no sense to me but what do I know. Whats a 42 Ex cost with 525's? low to mid $200's? That ought to put the PR around $200K. I just don't get it. Yes there is some development cost for the new deck molds and some engineering but it can't be $100K per boat produced can it? Guess I will have to wait 3 years til there $150K and then bite. BTW Donzi does the same thing with the ZR and ZR comp. Basically the same price so it's not just fountain less you think I am beak bashing. |
Re: 42 PR vs 42 Lightning
tooling, low production #'s. Overall new model. And, like it or not, you're going to pay more for a hotter product. The PR is awesome though

How about a 42 Lightning with windscreen and 3 bolster backseat and the 3rd man removalable front bolster set up with a cabin with AC? |
Re: 42 PR vs 42 Lightning
Lightning and Ex are same hull, not sure on PR.
