Fountain trim

I have the crt trim on the wheel. I want to get rid of it and put the trim on the throttle. Has anyone done this? Is it difficult?
Thanks

The trim on the wheel I thought was for the K planes and the outdrive trim is on the throttle. Is this what you are talking about or something different?

The Trim is on the wheel of my boat but i would like a new Steering wheel and trim either at the wheel or the Throttles.
I didnt know how difficult either option was to install.
Thanks for the Help.

Re: Fountain trim

You can set it up either way. If you decide to pull out the entire CRT setup you could sell it as they are pretty nice. The trim on the throttles is just a quick wire up and some diodes. Depending on what throttles you have some are adaptable to add trim switches. Pm me if you want more info.

You can change over your single in-throttle switch to a dual switch setup, 1 for drives, 1 for tabs. I'm doing this right now.

What brand levers do you have now?

Do the levers look like black or white ones?

Re: Fountain trim

You can add duals to both of those. The Zero Effort (black) sits in front of the knob and the others (white) just replace the single switch with a dual.

Re: Fountain trim

I added the single to the black ones, Kieksauffers, on my '94. However, it required some customizing since the levers didn't have the wire feed tube. I added that myself. Easiest too just buy the clamp ons that face the front.

The Gaffrig..... I ordered the dual switch from LIvorsi, to replace my single, (dual switch plate w/ switches, wires, diodes) for a shade over $100. Only using 1 of the $0.91 switches and the $4 diodes. Not a good business decision...pay over $100 for a part, and only use $5 worth of it.
