33 Fountain Prop Question
 

1990 33 Fountain, 454 Mags. Currently running 25P 3 blades. Anyone have experience with this set up? Boat will run in the upper 60's WFO at 4900 rpm with a light fuel load, trimmed out level tabs. Would like to try 4-blade. Thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone? :drink:

Non-Steps have a hard time getting enough bow lifty with a 4 blade. Those motors should be turning 5300 at WOT but your speed sounds about right for your set up. 4 Blades will look good on the trailer but in the long run your probably better off with what you've got.

I would try 22 Bravo 1 . That should help mid range but might take a little off top end .Good luck.

Thanks for the help- I have a set of 24P Hydro Quad IV's on my Formula we are going to try on the Fountain. :evilb:

My non step 38 likes the Mirage and 4 blade Bravo1 props better than the Hydro. The best speeds have been with the Mirage and the Hydro seemed to give too much stern lift.
