Hatch Lift

I'm looking to replace my hatch lift on a 1991 Fever.I have checked all suppliers and non of there mounting eye to mount eye measurements match what I have for the stock one.Has anyone used an actuator from an aftermarket company with success???Does Fountain have them custom made for them??

I took it apart and it looked like it was in good working order.It just runs slow and seems like it would die at any minute.I think it may be a power issue,I will check it out this weekend.I would feel better with a new one though.
