47 Fountain differences in model years?
Was there any changes to the hull from 1997 - 2003 ... they sure look the same to me. The cockpit looks the same as well.

Hull Differences
1997 and early 1998 were both shallow step hulls.
1999 - 2004 (A few 2005's) Was the Super Ventilated bottom. 2005 - Current - Bottom similar to that of 42 with strakes that run all the way to the front of the boat and allow better turning and more HP with stable ride. Hope this helps. Regards, TeamShogren
