What is your guys thoughts on a 42 ex with 600's

Should run low 90's. Mine is 525's and runs 85-87.

The 600's will deliver full HP at all times whereas the 525's will lose some when running. Is it worth the extra money? Your choice.

What's the price diff to go 700's and Nxr(?) drives?

Or do the 525's and whipple 'em.

Mid-ninety's is correct. Buyafountain has a sweet all white demo with low hours...... :D

We got a general idea on pricing on a 38' Lighting with with 600's or 700's. The price difference at retail was $37,000 more for the 700's.

It's about the same from 525 to 600's with no drive upgrade.

I think Blume had a 42 with twin 600's and said it ran 95 mph +.

It's still for sale at the Ft. Myers FL Fountain dealer. The dealer told me it does a solid 92mph under normal loads and water.

Yep, I saw it last week. It is nice but the seats have red stripes and red, silver and black logos which do not go with the Blue and purple theme of the boat. The dealer said they could have them re-done to match though but that is not in the price. The hull sides are mostly blue with purple at the chine and the windshield rails and bow rails plus the dash are purple.

buyafountains boat seems awesome...all white is super sleek.What color sceme is the interior? What is the re-fresh time and maintance schedule for the 600's compared to the 525's?

I think the refresh time is the same as 525s. Check out the link and you can see the pictures of the boat. Looks like white and yellow interior. Remember you are not allowed to buy a faster boat than me. :D

You are lucky insurance is too high on performance boats this year or I'd be all over that boat! :drink:

If you take Mike's 38 open in on trade. He will have no excuse to not step up to the plate :D since you will pay for insurance for the first year.
