Re: 29 fever with 525

thats what i was told by dealer also....but when you read test report it says 75-77

Re: 29 fever with 525

The test reports show exact speeds at exact rpms. Not sure where they would give you a range. I have personally seen 82. It's a bit of hand full at that speed. No problem flying along at 75-78

Re: 29 fever with 525

I have seen 80 in 68 degree air on a half tank of fuel. I was new to the boat and backed off when she started to chine walk a bit. Right now, I'm propped for 75. (26" LH Bravo) The Florida heat kills hp, but my boat will run 75 FULL of fuel along with the water tank full as well with this prop and get there very fast. I'm actually running out of revs right now. Normal prop is a LH Bravo 28". This winter I'm hoping to play with some labbed props (30") and see the 82-83 that some others have seen.

wow! I got the 575 and am runnin 81-82, half tank, 80 degrees. Still workin with props! The 100 degree cali heat kills the blower motor. Last weekend 90 degrees, full tank two coolers, five people and ran 78. I can get 79-80 all day long in normal conditions. But I know it can and should go 83-84. In light chop @ 81 it rides like a cadi.

I got 80 into the wind and into a 3 foot chop. They need to carry the bow.

By the way I have a like new custom full cover to the chines for $500. And a free lay in carpet . both blue.

I might just want that cover. I have had my boat in indoor storage since I bought it, but will be able to keep it at home starting next month so I'll be looking for some protection then. I am not able to buy until next month though, I will be going to Ireland for a little while and won't be back until the 20th of Sept.

Let me know if that's cool with you.

OK, here it is. 02' with 575sci. I have run 30# bravo four blade, 30# hydro lab four blade, 29# hydro five blade. Results: 30# bravo is good all around prop, runs 82 GPS in great conditions at 5400 rpm, and 79 on average day at 5200 rpm. 30# lab 4 blade cavitates terribly and hole shot sucks, but winds out at 5100 rpm at 84 mph. 29" five blade is too big, will only spin 5000 rpm at 78 mph, however hole shot and low speed control is awesome. Bottom line, this is a big heavy boat for a single screw. After all of this, I am happiest with the stock 30# bravo that came with the boat!

Is your labed 30" four blade a Hydromotive? If so what kind? I have a labed 30 b1 and have seen 81-82 but no better.(it really wasnt perfect water, still a little sticky! not enough chop to relly drive it!)) So let me know about that prop that gets you to 84. I have an 05 w/575.

Thanks, Chad

Re: 29 fever with 525

Chad, my 30" bravo four blade is stock, and runs very well. One thing I discovered is my timing was off on the 575. Poochy out of the hole, and non exciting midrange. My mechanic fixed the timing, and the 575 came alive. As mentioned, I ran a lab 30" four blade hydro and it cavitaded so bad out of the whole that you wouldn't want to run this prop.

Not sure what you mean or who is full of what and or why why. Here is what I know.

The boat cover mentioned was specially made after the purchase for this boat went down. The guy paid over 1000 for it and it is a custom cover. So it's not your buddy's cover unless he wants to pay for it.

I don't know about the rug, but I know the boat was not repoed. After trying for sometime to sell a pretty much new boat lightly used, the owner went to the only bidder in a time sensitive situation. After bending over and taking it good, he let it go but sold the trailer seperate and is apparently selling what he can to heal the pain. So if you don't know, maybe you shouldn't assume.

As far as the boat speed goes, it ran 79.5 into the wind, low fuel in 3 foot chop. Two guys on the boat, I was one. So loose the fuel and a guy and you'll probably get there.

Lastly, the boat listed out at 130k and while no one in their right mind would pay that I think he was around 100k all in. I am sure the new owner got a much much better deal for essentially the same boat and perhaps he can afford a better rug.

nuff said.

That's right. I had one too. Same year, same setup. Mostly ran 74 - 78.... 79 - 80 was the perfect day running very light on fuel and people. Thats what they run. Mine came with a factory test and the tatle tail set at 80. I never hit that and was convinced that was one of the Washington boys running with the current. They really do need to carry the bow....
