Engine hatch Logo

Looking to maybe replace my engine hatch vinyl with the 38 in the center. Will fountain make this for me and cut it to fit my hatches so I can install it? Any idea on cost. Is it do able? Im running out of upgrade Ideas but its still cheaper than buying new.

I'm finding out that after being a Fountain owner for about 2 months now, that Fountain will not be very helpful after the sale or Warranty is out. If they do decide to help I think that their PRICING of after market parts will be out of the WORLD.

It would be nice to see more help from a boat manufacture after the sale but I guess they just don't see it that way.

I spoke with Robert in parts about a month ago and he gave me a price for my 96 27' and my 99 35'.

I have actually had great luck with them on all other issues. Robert, and the lady(I cant think of her name) have been very helpful.

I would have agreed with you a year ago, but I have call Fountain a couple of time in the last month and they have bent over and helped me 100%. I have no idea what has changed there but I hope they continue.

Fountain custom made me a port side cabin door for my 97 fountain 35 lightning, so far they have been very helpful, you might try a quality trim shop, I had one make a vinyl engine hatch cover for my old 29 baja i use to own, it looked factory

I decided not to, if I were building something from the ground up it would make sense but the 500 efi/whipple is a proven combo. What about you?

I think so, on at least one. Im using some nickerson cams
at 8psi, and the projected hp numbers seem pretty high.

Thanks for the help but i agree with Dragin Ass. Fountain has never been much help. By the way All In has all the "benjamins"

I was quoted $1500 for the cover from Fountain for my 88, 8.8 meter, but that was about 1 year ago. Had the upholstery shop do solid white with single lightning bolt sewn on top. Lots less, old cover was grey and torn.

I spoke w/them a while back about my 29' Fever II and they told the the cover/foam was going to be approx. $1500 and about $1600 for the base fiberglass. On a side note, does anyone know where I can locate a used engine hatch for the 29' Fever II?
