It'll cost you more $$ to go to a 32' then on to a 35' if you decide the 32' is too small. Best to spend a litle bit more now for a 35' and be money ahead in the long run. I wished i would have looked for a 35 over my 32, but then I really wished I looked for a Cig. instead. (They got better clothes :) )
But I do really like my 32. |

I had a 32 back in the mid 90s and a 35 i sold last year. The 35 rides better and has more room to work on the motors, bigger cockpit and a enclosed head. I think the resale on the 35 is much better also.

Go with the 35, not much more money than a 32 and you need at least a 3/4 ton truck or suv to pull either one.

It seems the 32 gets no respect when comparing to
the 35,but I say you can't go wrong with either. aside from the fact that we all get three footitis every year I really liked my 32. I have a 35 Ex now....and yes it rides a little better in the slop, but to be honest, my 32 could handle anything my lake could dish out. And it still handled like a corvette. I'd have to guess that most of us run on lakes, and the classic OSO line of "runnin in 6-8 footers" is mostly fantasy (bar room) talk. I also thought my 32 was pretty cool looking boat . The walk around on the 35 is sweet though,The 32 was a biotch gettin up on the deck and worse gettin off. Bottom line ....... take your pick,I don't think you'll be dissopointed with either. |
If you buy the 32 you will have to sell it because you will figure out that you made a mistake in that you really wanted a 35. There is night and day difference between the 32 and the 35. I sat it out 1 year to put the funds together after I got rid of my Baja 29 Outlaw. Dont compromise on this and dont get impatient either. Sell your 29 and cruise the websites, get on airplanes and have some fun with it. The year will pass before you know it and you will be amazed at how much you can put together when you dont own a boat. The 35 is a boat you will want to keep. If you buy the 32, after the novelty wears off, shoulda, coulda, woulda will take over. Im not knocking the 32 - but if you are thinkin about the 35 and can obtain it in a year, dont make a mistake with the 32.

I think you'd be much happier going up to the 35. If you look around, there is'nt that much difference in price when you're lookin to buy used. Wait it out. Go 35.

When your ready for the 35...jump to the 42 instead.:p
