78-79 is a reach. Very weight sensitive boat. 78 with no fuel or gear of any kind in cooler temperatures. Real # would be about 75 with people gear and gas. Ran mine for 3 years and that was the outcome.

I have a 1998 single step 32 Fever w/ stock 502's with the exception of Gil headers and risers like came on the HP 500.
I am running 28 pitch Bravo I's that were balanced and lab finished by BBlades. On a cool (68 F) day with a half tank of fuel and two adults I have averaged 81 mph on my gps on a two way run. It ran 84 mph with the wind and current and 78 mph against it. Thus the average of 81. Last summer we ran the Richmond VA Poker run with a full tank of gas, four adults, cooler and luggage (overnighter). On that warm July 15th day it ran a solid 80 mph on the gps. I also have a set of 26 pitch lab finished Bravo I's that are about 2 mph slower. I tach both sets 5200 rpm's. Hope this helps.
