Trim Indicator Part

I need the black "plastic" spring loaded rod that protrudes out the back of mechanical trim indicator and is pushed in when the drives are timmed in.

The folks at Fountain parts/service seem too busy to reply to my voice messages. So...does anyone know of a dealer in Syracuse/Watertown New York area or anyone I can order this from?

The boat is a 1997 Fountain 35 Lightening with Merc HP525SC's and Bravo 1's. Totally stock as built by Fountain.

Any merc dealer can order that part

Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!

I was thinking it was a Fountain part! Silly me.

You're absolutely right...I found it a Merc on-line parts catalog.

I know this post is old but I have a broken plastic rod also and would love to know what site you found that on. I want to find it and order it rather than try to explain it over the phone to someone.

I've spent an hour on that site and I can't find it. I can find every thing down to a 1/4" washer for the outdrive and trim system but not for the trim indication. All I could find under trim position indication was the dash mounted gauges and cables. Thanks though.

part #6

BTW, it's just a peice of black plastic (nylon?) threaded on the one end. Possibly has an helicoil for the thread. Don't remember. If all else fails. :) But for a mere $20, not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the info. I ended up asking for help on the site and they sent me this identical link via email and I ordered it up. Thanks for all the help!! By the way, it's now nice to have a link for others searching for this part. Good job posting it!!
