Alarms going off!
My 35 Lightning has just started a pattern of alarms going off, after the engines have been warmed up and the boat has been ran for 15 minutes or so...usually after coming off plane.
The alarms will sound, each engine, and sometimes taking them out or putting the drives into gear will stop it for a minute. All gauges are reading normally, all resevoirs are adequately filled. What else sets these off? HELP! |
Used to happen with my 25 Active Thunder when coming off plane when running down wind. System would detect exhaust fumes from thru-hull exhaust and activate an annoying scream alarm. Only cure was to disconnect alarm.

Carder... check resevoirs again just maybe a little more drive oil. happend to me tuned out to be a touch more oil in resevoir was needed. good luck

I had the same problom with my 2006 35 lightening. The engine guardian system would trip a low level alarm. I ran
diagnsostics and no codes in memory. The problom was a faulty level sensor in the starboard drive fluid reservoir. |
i had the same problem last year the drive fluids where down 1/3 and when i took off the alarms would go off.I was going crazy then I listen to someone one here and they told me to top them off to the line.problem solved

Thanks for the tips guys. I topped them off, but I am still getting intermittent alarms; either faulty at resevoir or at oil pressure sending unit. I am having them checked out.

how much water pressure do you have? there is a sender for high pressure which sets and does what your saying when the cooler on the back of the engine is clogged. all other indications such as temp , oil temp, and oil pressure will show normal.
|
Water pressures no higher than 20 psi... but the alarms occur initally off plane, and then are intermittent on plane.
