magic eraser for exterior vinyl only. Do Not Use inside cabin on leather.

Beak Boater 07-29-2007 10:49 AM

Becareful using products like Greased Lightning, Castrol Super clean, Ect. They will remove the oils from the vinyl and cause premature aging, if used frequently. Greased Lightning has a marine version of its cleaner that isnt so harsh. What ever you use, put a good protectant over it to put oils back, and protect it from UV rays, that are as harsh as the cleaners.

Use it with a little bit of dawn dish soap and it works even better.

Magic Eraser made my seats look 10 years newer.

itilldo 07-30-2007 07:45 AM

thats what we do for both inside and outside. the eraser works great to cleaning the transom

Jackhammer405 07-30-2007 10:33 AM

Tuff Stuff to clean then some sort of vinyl conditioner. Works great. I have used Tuff Stuff for over 15 years on my cars and boats and have never had a problem with drying, aging or yellowing the vinyl whatsoever.

Magic Eraser or Swipes wipes to clean and then protect with 303.

fountainfevr 07-30-2007 09:43 PM

I would like to thank everyone for the info.

Rebel_Heart 07-30-2007 11:59 PM

Where can you purchase Magic Eraser? What type of form does it come in? I need to get off little yellow dots caused by spyder crap. I do use 303 to protect.

Magic erasers can be found at any grocery store. They come in a little box and look sort of like erasers. You get them wet and rub them on whatever you're cleaning and they work seemingly like magic. I rinse the surface off when i'm done, not sure if that's required or not.

The eraser is great. It also works better if a female uses it.

jmeng 08-03-2007 02:43 PM

I get them at Wal Mart, usually find them by the household cleaning stuff. Took me forever to find because I was always looking by the car wash products.

OSO Coupon - Although I am partial to the OSO Swipes (because they do more cleaning tasks), Magic Erasers do work well on interiors as mentioned in previous posts.
So, you guys can use this coupon code FREESHIP on www.CleanItSupply.com for Free Shippng on Magic Eraser, Swipes, Speedy, Car wash brushes or whatever. I set the freeship code to expire on 8-12-07.
You can see a box of the Proctor & Gamble Magic Erasers here http://www.cleanitsupply.com/p-906-m...pgc-43516.aspx

Enjoy!

Just a question about swipes ( I love em ). Is the chemical
used in them o/k for the vinyl? It dries right up with no
sign of any problems.Just wondering if I should rinse with
water or use a conditioner after using them?

Glad you like them. Good to hear.

Yes, the cleaning agent is completely safe for vinyl, leather, and the human skin. Neutral pH and synthetic. Swipes is designed with 5 conditioners. No need to rinse.

These characteristics is what makes Swipes unique. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.
