question from a nordic guy

What is the difference between a lightning and an excecutioner? Thanks

tblrklakemo 07-29-2007 03:18 PM

Right now, i think, just the deck?

The main difference is the deck. The Ex has the old school look with the plexifairing and has less cabin headroom. The newer Lightning has the windshield and taller deck for more headroom in the cabin. Otherwise the hulls are the same.

The 35's do not share the same hull. The 35 lightning has a twin step and the Ex only a single. The 42's have the same hull.

The 35 EX does not have the same hull or deck, no ladder and I think no anchor Locker. After the 35L hulls are removed
from the molds Fountain washes them in Evian water,
then dries them using silk adorned buxom blonds. After that the hulls are shipped to the south of France for 2 weeks of drying before shipping them to Northrup/Grumann where the Kevlar is added.

This quote was very creative and quite witty until you made reference to "The South of France"........One should never, EVER defile an American engineered masterpiece such as a Fountian Powerboat by making any reference to the Cheese Eating, Terrorist Harboring, Surrender Monkey Frogs. The real process is as follows:
The hulls are removed from the molds and washed in Burbon, then dried with good ol' American cotton by Strippers with fake tits, after that the hulls are further curred by Bud Light and then rigged by more stippers with even bigger fake tiits.

Much better!!! Can you send the ones with bigger tits, fake or real makes no diff to me, over to dry my boat before I end up with water spots. And have them bring the eight year old burbon, single batch prefered, with them.:D

Doesn't the lightning have more freeboard in the rear as well?
Seems like the executioner is a little more old school.

I know that I've seen this before, but what is the speed differnce with similarly equipmented 35s, Lighhtning vs Executioneer? At least what are Reggie's findings?
