need advice from 525SC owners

I'm stoppiong over from next door with my 336 Formula with 525sc's

I need to know if the motors run strongest at 5200rpm or 5000 ( middle of power range)
I am at 5000 right now, hitting 72mph with 24" labbed bravos and 1:36 ratio

if I pitch down a touch and get to 5200, will I see a top speed gain? or am I at the sweet spot at 5000

thanks

How bout ditching the Formula and buying a Fountain? I just sold a 1997 32' Fever with 525's that ran 88mph w/ 1.50 ratio.:D What is your slip?

It seems many fountains ( 90's era) have 525sc's so I thought i would stop over

the 525sc install was rare for my boat. In fact mine was the fisrt of only 5 for the Formula 336 model

I am curious what you guys have your WOT rpms dialed in to

thanks

I run mine at 5000 to 5200 it depends on how hot and humid it is. I have a 35 fountain 1.36 ext boxes 28 bravos and run 82 hhh and 85 on colder days.
