Model Questions
Whats the differance between the Lightning, Fever, Classic, Executioner. I am looking for a used 35'er.
|
No such thing as a 35 Fever. The 35 Classic, Executioner, and the pre 2000 Lightning are basically the same hull. It was known as the 35 Lightning up through '99 and had a single small step from '95 - 99. In 2000 the Lightning changed to a curved glass windsheild and a twin step bottom. The boats with the squared off plexiglass windscreen were now called the Classic which changed to the Executioner in '02.
As far as the difference the twin step hull is faster, the cockpit is a little deeper, and the cabin has more headroom. |
Thank you jmeng

What can I say, I'm a little obsessed with boats. :D Me and Jenn will be at the camp all weekend, skipping Orange Beach. Stop by and have a drink or give me a call, we'll come run with ya.

If you had your choice, would you buy a older 35 or a newer 29. I am only good for about $90k.

For 90K I'd definately go with a 35. Once you took a ride in a 35 you'd never consider a 29 again. If you're patient you might be able to come up with an 496 HO powered Ex for that but it would be a great deal. Otherwise I'd be looking for a 1998 - 2001 or so 500 hp boat.

I would like a 2001 35 lighning w/500's. Trailering does not bother me. Thin picking's here in S. Calif. though. I will be shopping.
