Tilt Steering Wheel Hub?
 

Has anyone installed a tilt steering hub on their boat?
If so, opinions please.

we had one in our 42 poker run, and i did'nt like it. at speed in chop and rough water, when counter steering there was a slight delay due to the tilt design that i felt hindered reaction time .
i ended up installing a custom made wedge adapter which was comfortable for me and my height while sitting. it took the minor " slop" if you will, out of the steering at the helm.

Are you saying the slop increased the more the wheel was tilted? Or was the slop there regardless of the tilt position? Who was the manufacturer of the tilt hub?

the slop was there at all times. it wasnt as if their was alot as in 1/4 turn. but enough to make me change it. it was noticeable, especially over 100.
