The 06 38 with 600's and Bravo drives we traded to Shogren, may be traded back in to Shogren for a 38/700's. Dont know if its happened yet. But it would be a nice boat for someone. Their will be some deals this winter, just keep checking. Im sure you will find what you want. See post below 08 35 Lightning, post 11.

I live in Cleveland and if anyone knows Lake Erie, they will tell you it's chopping as hell and feels like a washer machine effect. So my question is, how well does your 38s take the waters? In my 270 Laser, with a 24degree dead raise , I am able to take 2-3s at about 50-60 comfortably. I would like to cruise at 70 in bigger chop and it be lot more stable in the water.

If in doubt, go bigger. Never boated on the Great Lakes, but have heard they are some of the roughest waterways. Think about the 42. Their are a couple of good deals out their. The roughest water we ran our 38 in was on the Chesepeake Bay during the Rock the Bay poker run. I asked many of the guys running it how big was the water we were running in. The response was 3-5 foot. We ran between 70-75 mph and the boat did fine. Wouldnt want to do it all the time though.

Id say get a 42 and you can run the speed you looking for all day long. Also you can get one around the same price as a 38 if not cheaper.
