Dirt - I had a 98 Fever with a 525 SC that I put a -2 shorty on - caused the boat to perform a lot better, but did not have much bow rise at all - all a factor of the drive height. I never had any luck with a hydromotive prop on my set up - always used bravo style props. |
98 Fever

very impressive. Like the 380 K planes? they were essential to get the boat on a plane with the 525SC.
Did Mike ever give you the "Reggie" jacket and other Fountain stuff I had? |
Fountain gear

engine management system
I finally figured out my engine management system problems after a rediculosly long highly frusterating troubleshooting process. Get this, my Livorsi tachometer had an internal short inside the tachometer and was grounding out the RPM signal and breaking up the signal to the computer. Which tells the computer the engine is not running and the computer shuts the fuel system down. So now after troubleshooting this mystery problem for the last 7 months I can finally start prop testing with some kind of consistancy.I will start posting as soon as I can get the boat out which should be this week with any luck with the weather.I appreciate the info everyone has given me so far, maybe this boat may float afterall. THANKS DIRT173.
